Activities description:

Software development for the solution of the equations that govern complex heat transfer situations. 
Main research activities include:
• numerical analysis of heat transfer systems and equipment 
• numerical simulation of forced, natural and mixed convection of pure fluids, nanofluids and mixtures
• numerical modeling of the physical properties of nanofluids
 
 
 
 
Laboratory Equipment
 

Two high performance distributed-computing systems composed of 15 nodes for a total of 130 cores, connected by InfiniBand switches (40 Gb/s).

Cluster N°1 is composed of 5 rack-blade Linux-operated servers with 70 cores.

Cluster N.2 is composed of 9 rack-blade Windows-operated servers with 60 cores.
